Reviews serve as a guide to our mutual customers and help them make their choice from products in the Expedia marketplace. These reviews are the opinions of our customers, so Expedia Group (EG) does not edit or censor published review content. However, we will remove a review if it violates our content guidelines. We use a combination of automated tools and support teams to search reviews for content that violates our guidelines.
EG does not remove reviews simply owing to negative content, claims of false statements, claims of defamation, or claims of blackmail. If a customer attempted to participate in the activity they booked, they can submit a review about their experience. Removal of reviews is at the sole discretion of EG, and only occurs in a limited set of circumstances such as if the review contains:
- The full name of an activity staff member
- Evidence of violence to a child or child pornography
- Evidence of serious injury or death of any guest
- Discriminatory language
Or if the review is:
- A duplicate submission
- Clearly written under the wrong activity
- Conflicting in its recommendation (for example, a positive comment with a 1-star review)
- Proven to be fake, coerced, or fraudulent
If a review falls within one of the categories above, a partner can submit a request for the review to be considered for removal by using the Contact Us form or by reaching out to their assigned Activities Account Manager.
