Price groups
In this section, you will enter all relevant pricing details.
- Travel Dates: This date range indicates when vouchers can be redeemed.
- Rollercoaster Testing Tours is offering tours from August 1–December 31, 2023 for those brave enough to test. This is how that would look:
- Prices vary by booking date: If this pricing is only bookable for a durational period, you would check ’Prices vary by booking date.’ Upon checking the box, you will receive 2 fields to enter the Booking From and To dates. Please see the FAQ page titled ‘How to maximize booking dates’.
- Ticket types: This section is not editable as the price or combination of individual tickets does not apply.
- Define pricing: The capacity tickets you created at the start of building your option will be listed. Please check all capacity tickets that apply to this pricing and fill in the remaining columns:
- Min person & Max persons: This field is not editable. It is listed as created.
- Retail price per total: The total price the shopper will pay if the number of tickets are within the min/max boundaries.
- In this example, whether there’s 1 traveler or 4, the price will be the same. Also, if the order consists of min/max 5 Travelers, the price has a heavier discount.
- Net price: The total price that is paid to you. This is not editable and is automatically calculated based on the commission/margin percentage rate that you were contracted at.
- Margin: The percentage paid to Expedia as agreed upon in your contract.
- Retail and Net prices and Margin will always be rounded-up to 2 decimals.
- Price code (optional): Will appear on booking notifications and may be used by you to help identify the price that was booked.
- Example: If Rollercoaster Testing Tours offered a variety of pricing, we could add price codes so we can identify how much we anticipate receiving in payment. We could enter 4PACK or 5PACK to indicate this is a group ticket.
Be sure to add all pricing for all ticket types you’d like to include in the option.
Note: You can use the “Trash” icon to delete a Ticket Type pricing in case you no longer need it.
- Days and Availability: This section will vary depending on the Schedule Type and the Ticket availability type you selected in the Details section. Please refer to the FAQ Page titled ‘How do I update Days and Availability in a price group?’.
Once you have fully created your price group(s), click ‘Publish.’
Lastly, you must click ’Update & save option group‘ to save your option.
Please be sure to save your changes to the 3 different sections, and finally save the whole option group in order to confirm your options are published.
