Mexico implemented new tax rules effective June 1, 2020, which apply to digital platforms, like Expedia.

Submit your tax registration information

To avoid tax implications, we’ve emailed you a tax form to complete. If you have not received the tax form, please let us know through our Contact Us form.

Changes to Expedia Activities bookings

  • Individual providers (“Persona Fisica”): All sales, including packages, are paused on all of Expedia Group sites globally.
  • Legal entities (“Persona Moral”): All sales are paused on Expedia Group sites in Mexico (e.g., Expedia.mx, hoteles.com). If you have submitted the tax form with your tax information, sales are available on all other global Expedia Group sites; otherwise, all sales are paused until the tax form is submitted. It may take 7 days after the tax form is completed to resume your bookings on all non-Mexico Expedia Group sites.

Next Steps

We’re working on functionality designed to address the changes in the Mexico tax rules, which have been delayed to the end of this year due to COVID-19 (coronavirus). Once the new functionality is available, we’ll resume the bookings for Mexico destination service providers on all points of sale globally.
