When you are creating an option group, think about which choices are very similar with only a start-time or commentary variation.

Grouping these options will provide a better traveler experience. The option group will display as one option and a dropdown list with your available choices on Expedia-branded sites. Previously, all options for every time/commentary were listed individually.

Important Note: Only options with the same ‘Details’ (Schedule Type, Ticket Availability, Booking cutoff, Traveler cancellation policy, Food & Beverage, and Price) can be grouped.

Here are some examples when options cannot be grouped and multiple Options Groups may be necessary:

  • Meal inclusion variation

  • A difference in schedule type (Example: Hours of Operation location vs Tour Start Time)

  • A difference in ticket capacities (Example: Limited capacity tour vs Free-sell)

  • A difference in booking cutoff hours

  • A difference in the cancellation policy

What travelers will see:

The Options Overview is where you will be able to create new Options and edit the Pricing, Schedule, Policies, Inclusions, and Description of existing Options. You can find the Options Overview in the sidebar of each of your products.
