Safety is an important part of a traveler’s experience. For this reason, we have designed a set of standards in conjunction with CheckPoint Solutions.
Expedia Group expects its contracted partners to meet all local, regional, and national requirements that apply for their jurisdiction in order to operate legally according to their country’s safety laws.
In addition, to help promote high standards for consumer safety and ensure guests can globally benefit from consistent levels of safety, we also expect partners to adhere to the Expedia Group Health & Safety Standards.
Expedia believes that the long-term commercial prosperity of the industry and our own organization is closely linked to increasing consumer confidence in all aspects of the integrity of our product, including safety.
CheckPoint Solutions
CheckPoint Solutions (www.checkpointsolutions.co.uk), previously known as Argent Health & Safety, provides expert health and safety services for the travel industry. They were selected by Expedia Group to assist in implementing the Expedia Group Health & Safety Program.
If you receive communications from Checkpoint Solutions, please be assured that these are legitimate and made on behalf of Expedia Group. These communications include, but are not limited to:
- Audit appointment requests
- Remote assessment reminders or queries
- Recommendations following an assessment
Guest reviews and customer health and safety complaints
The Expedia Group Health & Safety Team might contact you to investigate potential health and safety concerns raised by our mutual guests, such as:
- Verified guest reviews posted on one of our Expedia Group sites. We collect reviews from customers globally.
- Customer complaints made while or after taking part in your activity.
In such instances, we will contact you with a standard set of questions and might request supporting documentation, to help us better understand the concerns raised, and help prevent future instances. We also encourage all our partners to keep detailed records of their safety processes, checks, and any incidents, as customers might not share feedback immediately after their activity.
